Khaleji Motorsport set to unveil new car this weekend

UAE GT Championship contenders, Khaleji Motorsport will debut their new car this weekend at Round 4 of the UAE GT Championship held at the Dubai Autodrome.

Whilst the team remains tight lipped about the brand of car they will unveil, the team did confirm that they had taken delivery of the new car, and have already had it on the NFS dyno to ensure it is fully in compliance with the championship rules.

Chief Operating Officer & driver, Cabell Fisher said “I’m really excited about the new car. I tested it over Christmas & the car is better in every way. It handles better, sounds better, looks better, goes better… It’s Awesome! I can’t wait!!”

Meanwhile, Fisher’s teammate, Tarek Elgammal, has been busy organising the teams much loved livery being applied to the car prior to its first public appearance. “We have been working on a very tight schedule and have a mammoth task ahead of us. We are doing all the cosmetic things at the moment, which is very important for our sponsors & fans, but the real work start at the track. We need to get comfortable with the car, set it up, and perform straight away. I’m really looking forward to racing the new car, and if it goes as good as it looks, I think the top step of the podium is where we should be” said Elgammal.

In the GTB Class, previous round winner & current GTB Championship leader, Paul Denby, will again drive solo in the Khaleji Motorsport Porsche GT3 RS after Team Principal & Chairman, John Sinders announced he would be unavailable due to business commitments.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the races & Khaleji Motorsport fans are invited to join the team in their pit garage for the official media unveiling of their car at 1pm Friday 29th January 2010.
